Final Close of Fund II Announced

Since its first close in October 2020, the Oxford Angel Fund II has invested in 11 early stage companies with Oxford founders. The Fund’s investments include OpenSponsorship, an online marketplace for brands to partner with athletes; Proof of Impact, a digital platform for measuring ESG and Impact data; AOA, which is bringing to market the first ​​early stage, non-invasive ovarian cancer diagnostic test; Bluumbio, which is developing bio-based technologies tp rapidly clean soil, and air, and mote, which provides an audio toolkit for educators and learners.

The University of Oxford has an 800-year history of innovation, with students, faculty, and alumni bringing world-changing research to market across many fields, including vaccines, regenerative medicine, robotics, autonomous vehicles, and the internet. Over the past 10 years the Oxford entrepreneurial ecosystem has generated spinouts and startups at an increasing rate, producing several unicorns and IPOs.

The Oxford Angel Fund collaborates closely with the Oxford Entrepreneurs Network, comprising over 3,000 members in five U.S. regions and in London, for deal flow, due diligence by industry experts, mentors and advisors, as well as a platform on which founders can promote their ventures. In addition the Fund is an active participant in the broader Oxford entrepreneurial ecosystem including the Oxford Foundry, Oxford Seed Fund, Said Business School, Enterprising Oxford, Oxford University Innovation, and Oxford Science Enterprises.
