Our History

  • Fund III opens to US Investors.

  • Since its first close the Oxford Angel Fund II had invested in 11 early stage companies with Oxford founders.

The Fund’s investments include OpenSponsorship, an online marketplace for brands to partner with athletes; Proof of Impact, a digital platform for measuring ESG and Impact data; AOA, which is bringing to market the first early stage, non-invasive ovarian cancer diagnostic test; Bluumbio, which is developing bio-based technologies to rapidly clean soil, and air, and mote, which provides an audio toolkit for educators and learners.

  • Building on the success of Fund I, the Oxford Angel Fund announced the first close of Fund II with the goal of investing in a diverse portfolio, comprising 25 to 30 companies operating in many industries and employing novel technologies and business models.

Focused on US-based companies founded by Oxford alumni from many intellectual disciplines.

Geographically distributed across the US, with a focus on Boston, NY, DC, LA, SF Bay Area, San Diego, and Seattle (80+% of US VC market).

  • Inspired by the quality of pitches presented by Oxford-educated founders at the Oxford Entrepreneurs of the Bay (OEB), the Oxford Angel Fund I was formed as an “experimental” fund comprising investments by Bay Area Oxonians.
